CSHPF opinion of November 7, 1995

This notice sets out the provisions concerning the use of inks and varnishes for the printing of packaging intended for food contact, for which the Food and Nutrition Section of the Conseil supérieur d'hygiène publique de France (CSHPF) has issued a favorable opinion. These provisions concern the ban on direct food contact with the printed part of packaging, the ban on solvents with boiling points above 150°C, a list of printing solvents with SMLs, specifications for colorants and technological adjuvants for printing inks.
