In this new edition of the newsletter, find out about the latest advances, including the development of an innovative methodfor analyzing microplastics in the wash water of reusable plastic packaging.
LNE has developed a method based on micro-Raman, capable of precisely identifying microplastics down to a size of 1 µm: typology, morphology, chemical nature... An essential tool for assessing the impact of reuse on the release of microplastics.
First results show a very limited release of microplastics, with no notable difference between new and aged materials. Other use cases are currently being analyzed!
