Germany has initiated a modification of its National Ordinance on Printing Inks for Food Contact Materials. The draft, submitted to the Bundesrat in early November 2025, provides for both a targeted deferral of the application of certain positive lists in order to take account of industrial constraints, and the integration of new substances evaluated by the BfR, while reinforcing consistency with the European regulatory framework.
