In a scientific opinion published on May 28, 2026, the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) concluded that L-aspartic acid, N-benzoyl-, disodium salt may be used as a nucleating agent in polypropylene intended to come into contact with food, provided that the assessed conditions of use and migration limits are met.
