The Société des Experts Chimistes de France (SECF) is organizing a webinar on December 9, 2025 dedicated to chemical substances and plastics recycling, a topic at the heart of environmental and industrial transitions.
This event will bring together researchers, experts and industry players to discuss the scientific, regulatory and technological issues related to the circularity of polymer materials and the control of substances present in recycling streams.
LNE will be taking part, with senior research engineer Phuong-Mai Nguyen speaking on:"Chemical migration and the circular economy: the dual challenge of food-contact materials"
This presentation will highlight the risks of chemical migration from food-contact packaging and plastic materials, particularly in the context of recycling and reuse.
The presentation will illustrate how the research and expertise of LNE and UMT SafeMat contribute to making recycled materials safe, while supporting industrial players towards a safe and sustainable circular economy.
