The European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) recently closed a consultation on October 16, 2023 on substances proposed by EU member states for inclusion on the REACH candidate list of substances of very high concern (SVHC). Among these substances, five are known to migrate or be extractable from food contact materials (FCMs).
