Presentation

Law n°2010-729 suspended the import and marketing of packaging and utensils containing Bisphenol A and intended to come into contact with food for infants and young children. In addition, law n°n°2012-1442 extended the suspension of manufacture, import, export and marketing to all food packaging containing Bisphenol A,. The latter law was amended by Decision n°2015-480 QPC of September 17, 2015 by deleting the words "Manufacture" and "Exportation" from Article 1 of the law. As a result, the manufacture and export of food packaging containing bisphenol A are still authorized in France.
