The European Commission is continuing to roll out the EU register of recycling technologies for plastics intended for food contact. Following the publication of the first version of the New Technologies Register in March 2026, an updated version, dated May 28, 2026, now lists 28 notified technologies, including 21 developed within the European Union and 7 in third countries.
