The European Union is set to tighten the requirements for recycled plastics intended for food contact, particularly with regard to Declarations of Conformity (DoC). These developments were discussed at the meeting of the European Commission's expert group (SCoPAFF) on food contact materials (FCM) on February 6 and 7, 2025, as part of the revision of regulation (EU) 2022/1616.
