Technical guidelines on testing the migration of primary aromatic amines from polyamide kitchenware and of formaldehyde from melamine kitchenware - EUR 24815 EN 2011 (1st Edition 2011)

This guide published by the JRC (Joint Research Center - Community Reference Laboratory for Food Contact Materials) has been produced in collaboration with the European network of national reference laboratories following the publication of Regulation (EU) No. 284/2011. It defines common practices for carrying out market control operations in the EU on melamine and polyamide cookware from China and Hong Kong. This guide has been approved by DG SANCO (European Commission). It is primarily intended for use by official control laboratories, national reference laboratories and third-party laboratories.



















This guide includes practical information on sampling, migration testing and analytical methods for primary aromatic amines and formaldehyde.
